LSU Not Over Their Ex

Nick Saban coached LSU from 2000-2004


No folks I'm not talking about none of his ex-girlfriends. I'm talking about his ex team the LSU Tigers. A lot of fans and boosters still to this day hold a grudge against Nick Saban; not only because he left them but how well he's doing without them. It's like that ex-girlfriend who says "that should be me" or who hate to see you doing better without them. Nick Saban success at Alabama is making LSU very salty and I believe secretly wishing he would come back. LSU is so focused on what their ex is doing that they never fully appreciated just how good of a coach they had in Les Miles. And until they turn their attention off Nick Saban and really appreciate the coach whoever it may be in the future, that relationship will never last. The Tigers and Tide square off this Saturday in Death Valley with both teams coming off a bye week. LSU seem to have found new life since the firing of Les Miles but let's be honest, no one they've beaten has been any good. It's been a lot of jawing from the LSU side of things about not only beating but dominating the Tide. I would be careful about pulling on superman cape. I hope they can back it up and keep it close but I just don't see how. Tide look like a team on a mission and this year Tiger team is more like pussycats at times. Bama rolls 41-17.

The NCAA will pay up to $3,000 in travel, meals and hotel accommodations for student-athletes participating in the men and women Final Four and $4,000 to players participating in the championship game. The College Football Playoffs will also provide $3,000 in travel expenses for each student-athlete's family that will be attend the game in Arlington,TX. basketballsocietyonline.com MVP: Russell Westbrook Oklahoma City Thunder This year's MVP race has been the closest it's been in recent memory. With 5 legit candidates, anyone of them is well deserving of the award but my choice is Westbrook. Not only did he break a record I thought would never be broken with 42 triple-doubles, but after losing 3 out of their top 5 scorers, Westbrook still has the Thunder in the playoffs as a 6th seed and lead the NBA in scoring. Players Need Rest

The media, fans of the NBA and legends of the game are getting upset at coaches resting star players throughout the season. I understand that the fans want to see their favorite player every night but in order to get peak performance out of your favorite players they need rest. NBA players more now than ever have a very demanding schedule on and off the court. Between traveling for games, having multiple endorsement deals and playing on back to back nights; coaches believe that its only fair to gave the players a night off. Most of the players that get nights off usually play through multiple injuries all the time so we shouldn't complain much. I know NBA tickets are not cheap and you expect to see the stars when you buy that ticket but that's the risk you take when you make your purchase. The players and coaches have to put their organization's needs first. None of these players are saying they need rest but it is much appreciated.
