Stephen A. Smith is completely wrong for his comments towards San Fransisco quarterback Colin  Kaepernick. My goodness. This man does not like any of the candidates; so you criticize him for not contributing to people he doesn't believe in? You say you don't want to hear his voice? You hope he goes away? He doesn't deserve to be in the NFL? He's not a hypocrite Stephen A., you're a damn coon that's trying to play the fence. In America, we realize the challenges African-Americans face come from years of being oppressed. In which most African Americans still are. These two candidates in Kaepernick eyes wasn't fit to be voted for so he withheld it, which he has the RIGHT TO DO!! So let me ask you this Stephen A Smith,who's really in the wrong. Kaepernick for withholding his vote or you  for coming on National TV in front of millions of viewers and bashing this brother like this. This brother has been put in every position to fail this year. Colin has received death threats, white people calling him the n-word, and you want to throw fuel on the fire cause he didn't vote?? You are trash for that. Now it's one thing for you to do things the right way by calling your brother or texting your brother but coming on National TV and ranting for ratings cause Skip Bayless left ESPN is  ridiculous. 

Colin Kaepernick has inspired a whole race and he's not hiding from any criticism. So before you your criticize this man you ask yourself what are you doing to change things, what are you doing to help the African American race and other races come together. I use to look to you as a positive role model for the African-American community but your comments were sickening. We deserve better and you're bigger then that. 

As for Colin Kaepernick, I wish you all the success in the world. Thank you for standing up for those of us who voice go void. We are rooting for you not against you and we won't turn our back on you. What you have done is bigger than football and you've brought attention to a situation that was being ignored and for that we say thank you!

basketballsocietyonline.com MVP: Russell Westbrook Oklahoma City Thunder This year's MVP race has been the closest it's been in recent memory. With 5 legit candidates, anyone of them is well deserving of the award but my choice is Westbrook. Not only did he break a record I thought would never be broken with 42 triple-doubles, but after losing 3 out of their top 5 scorers, Westbrook still has the Thunder in the playoffs as a 6th seed and lead the NBA in scoring. Players Need Rest

The media, fans of the NBA and legends of the game are getting upset at coaches resting star players throughout the season. I understand that the fans want to see their favorite player every night but in order to get peak performance out of your favorite players they need rest. NBA players more now than ever have a very demanding schedule on and off the court. Between traveling for games, having multiple endorsement deals and playing on back to back nights; coaches believe that its only fair to gave the players a night off. Most of the players that get nights off usually play through multiple injuries all the time so we shouldn't complain much. I know NBA tickets are not cheap and you expect to see the stars when you buy that ticket but that's the risk you take when you make your purchase. The players and coaches have to put their organization's needs first. None of these players are saying they need rest but it is much appreciated.
