Today is the start of free agency in the NBA and there's a ton of talent looking for new places to call home. After hearing the rumors, reading discussions boards and listen to reports, here 's my 5 bold predictions for this free agency summer. 1. LaMarcus Aldridge will sign with the Los Angeles Lakers - The Lakers are looking to make a splash this summer and this is it. Aldridge averaged 22.6 points and 10.2 rebounds per game in the past 3 seasons for the Portland Trail Blaze/rs but these numbers did not translate into teams success. In the past 3 seasons the Blazers have not made it past the 2nd round. With Nicolas Batum gone to the Hornets, LaMarcus is looking to be around better, more experienced players and wouldn't mind being in a bigger market to showcase his talent. There is a slew of young talent emerging in the NBA and we would like to take time out to recognize these future stars with an Under 25 All-NBA Team. Being a young player in the NBA is no easy task but these players have proven that they can play ball with the best of them. PG Kyrie Irving Cleveland Cavaliers (23 years old) 21.7 ppg 5.1 apg 3.1 rpg - Irving is quickly emerging as a top 5 point guard in this league. Making his 3rd All-Star appearance in his 4th season, Kyrie has shown elite ball handling, a consistent  jumper and has became one of the best finishers at the rim in the league. This NBA season has provided one of the closest MVP races in recent history. With a handful of players playing high caliber basketball there can only be one of them to take the league's best player award home. Many analyst have Steph Curry has there MVP frontrunner and I can't blame them. The Golend State point guard had led his team to the NBA's best record and in prime position to make a title run. Other may give a slight edge to the explosive Russell Westbrook. With all of the injuries to the OKC team, the All-Star MVP leads the league with 11 triple-doubles and is fighting with New Orleans for the 8th and final playoff spot. Both Curry and Westbrook are having an outstanding season but the MVP has to go to the Houston Rockets shooting guard James Harden. Last week before the men's final four Geno Auriemma made some interesting comments about men's college basketball stating that it is 'a joke' and that there are only 10 teams out of 25 that play the type brand basketball that people would want to watch.  Geno, I understand where you are coming from. Since the NBA implemented the one-and-done rule there has been a decline in overall competition within men's college basketball. With the best college basketball players going to the NBA after one or two seasons, men's college basketball is left with "2nd tier" caliber basketball talent. Also with the one-and-done system, college basketball coaches have a more difficult time implementing coaching systems and strategies. Yesterday the NCAA announced that it will be covering travel expenses for student-athletes participating in championship events. The NCAA will pay up to $3,000 in travel, meals and hotel accommodations for student-athletes participating in the men and women Final Four and $4,000 to players participating in the championship game. The College Football Playoffs will also provide $3,000 in travel expenses for each student-athlete's family that will be attend the game in Arlington,TX. In the NCAA's press release, President Mark Emmert said "Championship experiences like the Final Four create memories of a lifetime for a student-athlete, and we want to make sure their families are there to support and celebrate with them." 1   In previous years, the NCAA has provided free tickets for family members traveling to championship contest.
