NBA Finals Game 1 Recap

The Golden State Warriors blowout the Cleveland Cavaliers 113-91 to take the 1-0 lead. Kevin Durant had a game high 38 points 9 rebounds and 8 assist, shooting 53% from the field. Stephen Curry played outstanding finishing with 28 points 10 assist 6 rebounds, making 6 3-pointers LeBron James finished with 28 points 15 rebounds 8 assist, while Kevin Love grabbed a game high 21 rebounds game high with 15 points.

Man... I wasn't expecting this. I was looking forward to a good game since the rest of the playoffs been such a drag. Half of me wants this to be a great series full of "scrappiness" and close games, but the other half of me know what time it is. And this Game 1 blowout is what time it is. The Warriors have been waiting on this moment since the day Kevin Durant signed. Golden State threw the best punches time after time after time. There were a few times, especially in the first half where the Cavs had life but Durant was too much.

One thing about this Game 1 that was interesting is that neither team got any major productions off the bench. The Warriors won by 22 points and didn't get much from their bench. Iguodala scored 7 points. JaVale McGee with 4 points. Shaun Livingston with 2 points. David West with 2 points. The only difference between the two teams is that the Warriors bench points came at times were they were in need of points. The Cavs would go on a 6-0 run or an 8-2 run and every time it would be one of the bench players scoring an on-time bucket to slow the Cavs momentum.

As far as Cleveland's bench, I don't know how these guys are going to keep up and defend Golden State. Deron Williams? Derrick Williams? Richard Jefferson? Kyle Korver? Who can any of these players guard? I feel like I can get a bucket on any one of these guys at any time. And that's the Cavs biggest problem. The starters are going to do what they supposed to do. But when Deron Williams in the game, there is no defense at the point guard position. Ian Clark is poised to have a big game on Deron Williams. Richard Jefferson can't defend Iguodala or Klay Thompson. Kyle Korver is lunch on defense and Derrick Williams is dessert.

I don't know what the Cavs are going to do to get a win in Game 2. I know LeBron and Kyrie are due for a big game, which could get them a couple of win this series but this is not a good start. To me, this look a lot like the western conference playoffs. For all you hardcore Cavs fans, hardcore Celtics fans who wasn't paying attention to the western conference playoffs because you knew Golden State was going to win, this is what it looked like. This is what the Warriors did to Portland, Utah and San Antonio. And I don't want to hear anything about injuries playing a role in the Warriors going 12-0 in the western conference playoffs because it doesn't matter.

Based off this game it seems to me that everybody speculations about how easy the eastern conference is we're right. Cleveland were monsters in the east. Some were saying that playoff teams would lose on purpose in hopes not to play the Cavs in the first or second round (which I feel is ridiculous). Kyrie couldn't stand still when the Warriors name was mentioned. And this is how you come out and preform as a team? This was the effort? Last night Cleveland looked like the Utah Jazz. LeBron was Gordon Hayward with 8 turnovers. Kevin Love  was Rudy Gobert on the boards and Kyrie Irving was George Hill

Hopefully Tyrone Lue figure out a game plan to stop this because to me it looks like the Cavs fired the coach that's going to beat them to sleep. Game 2. Sunday. See you there.
