Trell's College Football Top 25 Week 3 Edition
1. Florida
State (2-0) W vs. The Citadel 37-12
-The Seminoles
coast to another victory as this gives them a school record 18 consecutive wins
and remain the number one team in the land. Jameis Winston goes 22-27 256 yards
with two touchdowns in a little over a half worth of playing time. The FSU defense allowed 72 yards passing and
no points through three quarters of play. Next for the Seminoles will be
division rival Clemson in Doak Campbell Stadium after a bye week. Last time the Tigers traveled
to Tallahassee was in 2011 where the Seminoles won 49-37.
2. Oregon
(2-0) W vs. #7 Michigan St. 46-27
-Down 24-18 at
halftime, Marcus Mariota throws for two touchdowns in the second half to lead
the Ducks to the 19 point victory. A brutal
rushing attack by Oregon had the defending Big 10 champs on their heels all
afternoon. Royce Freeman rushed for 89 yards with two second half scores for
the Ducks who will face Wyoming Saturday at 11:00 local time.
3. Alabama
(2-0) W vs. FAU 41-0
-Amari Cooper ties the school record for receptions in a game with 13 as the Crimson Tide shutout
FAU in their home opener. Alabama had
620 total yards compared to the Owls 145 with 57 of those coming on the
ground. Yes Alabama dropped a spot but
that can change once SEC play starts. The
Crimson Tide takes on Southern Miss is what experts may see as the most
lopsided games on Nick Saban’s schedule.
4. Oklahoma
(2-0) W vs. Tulsa 52-7
-The Sooners win
their 6 straight game dating back to last season after a 52-7 victory over
first year AAC member Tulsa. Heisman
dark horse Trevor Knight throws for 299 and commands the Oklahoma offense to
580 total yards in the blowout victory.
The Sooners will play at home next week versus SEC East foe Tennessee 7:00 local time.

(1-0) IDLE
-The Georgia
Bulldogs had the week off after their 45-21 win over Clemson a week ago.
