King James The GOAT?
Lebron James simply put is NOT the Greatest of all time.. Lebron is definitely one of the greatest but not THE greatest.. Why is that you might ask? Good question. Statically he has a strong case with the multiple MVP's, Three NBA championships, 14 years of representing the NBA at the highest level, no arrest etc.. This guy has been a model of what you want the face of the NBA to be.. So what is he missing? He's missing that moment in his career, yes he's had big nights, the big game 6 in Boston, Finally getting by Detroit but those really aren't those GOAT moments.. For example moments like MJ and the flu game, or Kobe scoring 81, Kobe dropping 62 on Dallas in 3 quarters, Michael Jordan losing his Dad, Kobe rape case during the season ( falsely accused)) these guys just had adversity after adversity and it fueled them.
Lebron is great obviously and no one can debate that he's had an era of being the best player in the world but something is still missing. Kobe nor Jordan never had to announce that they were the best player in the world as Lebron did in the playoffs last year. I think without a doubt Lebron is top 10 maybe even top 5 but he's not the greatest ever, especially after his suspect performance against Dallas in the finals, 17.8 points a game, 19.5% turnover rate quite frankly was his worst series in his career and he lost to a Dallas team that they should have been swept! Lebron still has time to change my opinion not that my opinion matters much to the self proclaimed "King" but he's not better then Kobe and he shouldn't even be at the table with Jordan yet. After we sit back and really focus on what he has accomplished over his career without a doubt he will be in the discussion, but in my mind the likes of Jordan, Kobe, and Magic are too far gone to catch and like I said I could definitely be wrong.
