5 Bold Predictions for NBA Free Agency

Today is the start of free agency in the NBA and there's a ton of talent looking for new places to call home. After hearing the rumors, reading discussions boards and listen to reports, here 's my 5 bold predictions for this free agency summer.

1. LaMarcus Aldridge will sign with the Los Angeles Lakers - The Lakers are looking to make a splash this summer and this is it. Aldridge averaged 22.6 points and 10.2 rebounds per game in the past 3 seasons for the Portland Trail Blaze/rs but these numbers did not translate into teams success. In the past 3 seasons the Blazers have not made it past the 2nd round. With Nicolas Batum gone to the Hornets, LaMarcus is looking to be around better, more experienced players and wouldn't mind being in a bigger market to showcase his talent. Aldridge will be a huge help for the Lakers quest to get back into the playoffs.

2. Kevin Love will be traded to the Celtics - The Boston Celtics have had their eyes on Kevin Love for the past 3 season and this summer they will finally get their prize. Kevin Love's time in Cleveland didn't go as planned. Love struggled with scoring with his back to the basket throughout the regular and the injury in the playoff made room for Tristan Thompson to shine. Being in Boston will take a lot of the expectations off of Love's shoulders and will put him with a similar roster he had in Minnesota (averaged 21 points and 13 rebounds per game).  I'm not saying Boston will win the east but this will put them in contention for home court in the 1st round.

3. Dwyane Wade will join the Cleveland Cavaliers - At 33 years old, question about rather Wade has enough in the tank are circling front offices but that doesn't matter to the Cavs. Wade seen with his own eyes the struggle the Cavs have at the 2 guard and would like nothing more to make a couple more championship runs with his pal LeBron. Dwyane Wade still has game (21.5 ppg last season) and if healthy during the playoffs will give the Cavs the boost they need to bring home the city's 1st NBA championship.

4. Wesley Matthews teams up with Melo - Wesley Matthews will take is 40% from the 3 point line shooting to a team that desperately need it. Despite missing the last 22 games due to a ruptured Achilles tendon, Matthews averaged has recently released workout videos that show GM's that he will be ready to go by the start of the season. With Matthews and Carmelo on board, hopefully this will be enough to attract more high quality free agents.

5.  Monta Ellis to the Indiana Pacers - Monta Ellis teaming up with Paul George will form one of the most potent duos in the eastern conference. Ellis averaged 18.9 points per game last season for the Mavs and his aggressiveness on offense will finally give George the 2nd scoring option he needs. Another plus for the Pacers by signing Ellis is another primary ball handler. With Monta's ability to get to the rim, that will create open shots on the perimeter. A couple more moves for the Pacers and they can be back in contention for an playoff run.
