Melo Deserves Love

businessinsider.com Phil Jackson want to trade Carmelo Anthony because he doesn't feel like Melo is the type of player you can build a franchise around. That on top of Kristap Porzingis success has Jackson wanting to start the rebuilding process as soon as possible. Problem is, the contract Melo's is under now has him making around $54 million dollars over the next 2 years, with the 2nd year being a player option. No NBA team is giving up start players or prime lottery picks for an aging superstar who makes a ton of money.  Another problem that Phil Jackson has with trading Melo is that Anthony has a no trade clause in his contract. Any trade involving a team that Melo doesn't want to play for is out of the question. Melo not playing for a team who is bad enough to have a top lottery pick.
