Don't Forget About The MVP

Curry scores 23 points in the 3rd quarter Tuesday night (youtube.com)

Somewhere between Game 7 of last year's NBA Finals and last night's game between Portland and Golden State it seemed the league forget about "The Assassin" also known as Steph Curry. Early season MVP candidates include Lebron, Westbrook, Lillard, Anthony Davis, even Kawhi Leonard but no Steph. With Kevin Durant joining the Warriors it will make it almost impossible for him to win the award but not mentioning him has to be a slap in the face to the only unanimous MVP in league history. In the 1st half of last night game Curry scored a total of 5 points while Damian Lillard filled it up with 22. Not going lie; I was one quick to judge that Lillard may have surpassed Steph but in a blink of an eye this assassin came out and killed all doubt. 23 points in the 3rd and we seen Steph get into one of those zones where he can shoot from the parking lot and we are surprised if it doesn't go in. Last season he put the league on notice that his first MVP award was no fluke. I don't see why we insist on playing with fire and Steph burns us every time. My favorite for the MVP this year is still Russell Westbrook but Steph Curry reminded us that all roads through the west still run through Oakland.
