Trell's 1st quarter All-NBA Team

With a quarter of the NBA season in the books lets take an early look at my All-NBA 1st and 2nd teams

1st team

PG: Stephen Curry GSW (23.9 ppg 7.6 apg 5.3 rpg 2.0 spg) If there was any question about Steph Curry being a top 5 point guard, those questions have been answered with his play this season. An early MVP frontrunner, Curry has the Warriors atop of the Western Conference by shooting a career best 48.5% from the floor.

SG: James Harden HOU (26.7 ppg 6.7 apg 6.3 rpg) Harden stepped up his game in the 11 games Dwight Howard was out by averaging 30.8 ppg per game during that stretch. Despite James Harden's status as the league's leading scorer and arguably the best shooting guard in the game, questions arise defensive. A little too early to be thinking about playoffs but the way Harden is scoring the ball, Houston will be a tough out.

SF: LeBron James CLE (25.4 ppg 7.6 apg 5.4 rpg) King James is still the best small forward in the NBA. Cleveland lackluster start is more so due to lack of chemistry than LeBron's performance. James is looking to make plays with his new team by averaging 7.6 apg (highest total since 09-10 season). Maybe James is just coasting til March but he is still on top of his game.

PF: Anthony Davis NOP (24.8 ppg 10.3 rpg 2.8 bpg) I had my doubts about Anthony Davis as far as his top level status in the league but he has made a believer out of me. Scoring, defense, rebounding, its all there with this 21 year old. All-Star Starter (check). Defensive POY (check). Rather or not a MVP is in order is still a question due to the Pelicans .500 record but there is no doubt that Anthony Davis will be top 3 in MVP voting at seasons end.

C: Marc Gasol MEM (19.8 ppg, 7.8 rpg 3.7 apg) The Memphis Grizzlies are currently a game out of first place in the West and Gasol has a major role in the teams success. The reigning Defensive MVP is second among centers in scoring and assist. Sharing the paint with Zach Randolph will put a limit on your rebound numbers. Marc Gasol could easily average 13 rebounds a game so the 7.8 boards he doesn't average is misleading.

2nd Team

PG: John Wall WAS (17.8 ppg 10.6 apg 4.8 rpg)

SG: Kobe Bryant LAL (25.2 ppg 5.0 rpg 4.8 apg)

SF: Rudy Gay SAC (21.1 ppg 6.5 rpg 4.7 apg)

PF: LaMarcus Aldridge POR (22.2 ppg 10.4 rpg)

C: DeMarcus Cousins SAC (23.7 ppg 12.5 rpg)
