No Love For KD in OKC

The Warriors organization believe that the Thunder ownership didn't show enough appreciation to Kevin Durant during his transition from Oklahoma City to Oakland. My question is what is the Thunder organization supposed to do? Kevin Durant was the marquee name for the Thunder franchise for 9 season. In those 9 seasons Durant has earned 1st All-NBA honors 5 times, 4 scoring titles, a MVP and one finals appearance back in '12. These accomplishments would put KD in the hall of fame alone. Still, OKC fans not thinking about the success, their minds are on the exit.

There were no promises made to the Thunder that Durant would return but no one saw a reason for him to leave. You have a superstar point guard in Russell Westbrook, you were a game short of the franchise's 2nd finals appearance with a 1st year head coach. Things are looking up for OKC. Not only did Durant leave, he went to the team that came back from a 3-1 lead on him in the western conference finals.  If he would've went to any other team there would've been some love when he came back to OKC.

OKC shouldn't hate KD forever but for the time being its acceptable. Durant brought a lot not only to the OKC franchise but to the city of Oklahoma City as well. Further down the road his hard work will be appreciated with his jersey being retired in OKC but until then it will be no love for KD.
