Players Need Rest
The media, fans of the NBA and legends of the game are getting upset at coaches resting star players throughout the season. I understand that the fans want to see their favorite player every night but in order to get peak performance out of your favorite players they need rest. NBA players more now than ever have a very demanding schedule on and off the court. Between traveling for games, having multiple endorsement deals and playing on back to back nights; coaches believe that its only fair to gave the players a night off.
Most of the players that get nights off usually play through multiple injuries all the time so we shouldn't complain much. I know NBA tickets are not cheap and you expect to see the stars when you buy that ticket but that's the risk you take when you make your purchase. The players and coaches have to put their organization's needs first. None of these players are saying they need rest but it is much appreciated.
