Trell's Race for the Heisman Week 4 Edition

1. Jameis Winston ( IDLE ) - Winston and the Seminoles had the week off and is preparing for #22 Clemson. A "Jameis Winston like" game versus the Tigers in Tallahassee will secure his spot as the Heisman frontrunner.

2. Marcus Mariota ( 19/23 221 yards 2 TD | 71 rush yards 2 TD ) Mariota filled the stat sheet up in a 48-14 rout over Wyoming. 292 total yards from scrimmage and 4 total touchdowns is a good momentum boost going into the Ducks first road game of the season versus Washington State.

3. Kenny Hill ( 20-31 300 yards 4 TD ) Hill has thrown 117 pass attempts without an interception to start the season. Second four touchdown game in as many weeks.  Texas A&M travels to Dallas to play the SMU Mustangs. Expect "video game like" numbers from Hill this week.

4. Everett Golson (25-40 259 yards 3 total TD) After missing last season, its seems like Golson has not missed a step. The Notre Dame quarterback QB rating is 26 points higher than his 2012 national championship appearance year.  11 total touchdowns this season. The consistency will continue in two weeks when the Fighting Irish take on Syracuse.

5. Todd Gurley ( 20 carries 131 yards 1 TD )  Todd Gurley was a workhorse versus South Carolina but it did not amount to a win. In recent years the Heisman has turned into a quarterback award but Gurley has the big play ability to change that. Georgia doesn't have a strong schedule with the Bulldogs not playing any of the top four schools from the SEC West but with big numbers in the return game and backfield, Gurley may have an outside chance.
