Rockets Tie Series 2-2

The Rockets were in full control the entire game and tied the series with the Spurs 2 games a piece. Without Tony Parker, San Antonio struggle to move the ball on offense. Kawhi Leonard is one of the best players in the NBA but one of his very few weaknesses is that he not a very good passer. Kawhi can score but can't set others up to score.

James Harden played a great game scoring 28 points and 12 assist. People love to say that Harden is not a "pure point guard" but what does that mean? Because Harden is the best in the league at setting teammates outside of LeBron James. No he doesn't control the ball like a Chris Paul but in this new age of basketball your point guard is your shooting guard. He has to get assist and score points in bunches. If your point guard not doing that it's going to be real hard to compete in the NBA.

This is the most interesting series of the playoffs to me because it is a clash of basketball philosophies.  Coach Pop with his half court sets versus Coach D'Antoni and his run 'n gun offense has been going on since D'Antoni's Phoenix Suns coaching days. This time around Coach D'Antoni has an more athletic Steve Nash on his side. Coach Popovich missing his starting point guard but has the best perimeter defender in the NBA in Kawhi Leonard.  This series will be decided by the 3 point shot. If Houston can stay consistent on making threes especially in transition they will have no problem in this series. San Antonio has been showing the upper hand with their low post scoring combo of Aldridge and Gasol. Slowing down the Rockets is the Spurs number 1 game plan and apart of that is feeding the post.

I still have the Rockets in 6 games but it will be a tougher 6 games than I thought. If Kawhi can pull this series win off you can't deny that his is a top 3 player in the NBA.
